Invitation to the London stock market
Romanian companies can apply for international funding by indirect listing on the AIM market. AIM is a stock market in London (London Stock Exchange) and wishes to attract international companies, especially those that deal with processing and selling natural resources. These will have access to international capital by public offering or later increase of capital. This market is destined for the growing SME's. In ten years of existence approximately 1800 firms have been accepted, stock capitalization being of ROL 70 billion. In order to be accepted the process is simple and neither a minimum of capitalization nor transaction history is required. A consulting company will draw up the documents for admission.
Entering the AIM market occurs by being listed by a company, which is registered in Great Britain or by issuing deposit certificates by the holder of the Romanian company's stock. "Stock exchange in the European countries is very important and it is a huge quality market. A listing of a company on the London Stock Exchange can only be a very valuable asset. The companies will definitely benefit from this and in 10 years Romania will look totally different", Nicolae Havrilet, specialist in economic problems, explained.
